Brady Sorenson was in a Nebraska hospital recovering from a liver transplant, when he got some unexpected company.
His wife, Jess, went into labor with their twins while she was visiting him.
"I had the girls about two-hours-later. Then all four of us were patents at Nebraska Medicine," Jess recalls.
And Jess couldn't help but laugh that her water broke on a floor with nurses not trained in labor and delivery.
But everything worked out. Emery Elizabeth and Riley Kate are home, after spending some time in the NICU to grow and gain more weight.
The surprising special delivery teaching the new parents to always expect the unexpected.
"Parenting- nothing is going to be in our control. We just have to kind of go with the flow I guess... We made it through this first part. Now it’s just onto the difficulty of actually raising children," Jess and Brady say.
