Meghan Markle is starting her Thanksgiving cooking early. The Duchess of Sussex is preparing for her first Thanksgiving as a royal, visiting survivors of the London Grenfell Tower tragedy at the Hubb Community Kitchen. This is the first organization she supported in her new role.
Meghan, cradling her baby bump under her apron, helped the women cook vegetables and rice and prepare 300 meals for the community.
Her fundraising book, “Together: Our Community Cookbook,” which she wrote with other members of the kitchen and the Al Manaar Heritage Center has already raised nearly $300,000.
This is helping the Hubb Kitchen stay open seven days a week to make more than 200 meals each day for the elderly, homeless shelters and women’s refugees.
