This woman paid top dollar for a new pair of kicks from an apparent high-end designer called, “Palessi.” But they were actually just from Payless.
The affordable shoe company staged a grand opening for the fake line “Palessi” as a social experiment.
Party guests dropped about $3,000 on shoes, which was nearly a 2,000 percent markup from the retail prices.
They all got their money back and some free shoes- proving style doesn’t have to cost an arm, a leg and maybe even a foot.
