The first day of school can be a little scary for some kids. So police showed up to help one four-year-old coping with the loss of a parent and the start of the new year.
Greggorio Casillas’ father, a fellow Pomona, California cop, was killed in the line of duty back in March.
So for Greggorio’s first day of kindergarten, local officers lined the school drop-off area to give him an unforgettable send off.
The little boy headed to class holding the hands of his mother and Police Chief Olivieri.
The officers said it was their way of showing how much Greggorio’s father’s sacrifice meant to the force.
