A musically inclined police officer in Pembroke Pines, Fla., was responding to a medical call for an older man who had fallen in his home when he noticed a piano in the living room and started playing to comfort the man’s distraught daughter.

A charming snippet of Officer Hernandez performing Journey’s "Don't Stop Believin’,” while a firefighter chimes in on backup vocals, was captured on video and shared to the police department’s Facebook page.

A piano player since the age of 6, Hernandez said he finds a little music to be a helpful part of his police work.

"I’ve done it a few times,” Hernandez said, according to WPLG in Miami. “It usually cheers people up."

Hernandez reported that firefighters got the father safety into bed and the family is doing well.
