When confronted with a turkey, these cops were a bit chicken.
Two deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Colorado found themselves on the other side of a comical pursuit when a nearly 25-pound wild turkey followed them down a driveway and clucked them all the way back to their patrol cars.
Body-cam footage captures the officers, with their batons out (just in case) -- wild turkeys “have sharp beaks and claws that can inflict serious damage,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook -- trying to shoo the bird away. But the gobbler would not be deterred.
The turkey may have ruffled a few feathers, but thankfully neither police force nor fowl were harmed in the incident.
