Marilyn Monroe converted to Judaism in 1956, when she married her third husband, Jewish playwright Arthur Miller.

Now her personal prayer book is going up for auction. Monroe probably used the book daily and was very attached to it, J. Greenstein & Company auction house owner Jonathan Greenstein says.

In fact the pages have nearly become detached from the spine. And handwritten notes of instruction in the margins may either belong to Marilyn or Arthur, Greenstein says.

The cover is also embossed with the name of the Brooklyn synagogue Miller attend, the Avenue N Jewish Center. The book could go for between $7-12,000 when it goes under the hammer, Greenstein says.
