The ice that Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder skates on is getting even thinner. According to a recent USA Today report, some NFL owners have been "counting votes" to remove Snyder from his position, amid allegations of sexual harassment, a toxic work culture, and financial impropriety. The Federal Trade Commission and Virginia attorney general are investigating the franchise for allegedly having two accounting systems to hide money from the league.
Washington's denied all allegations, and earlier this week, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters that he wasn't aware of the rumor involving NFL owners and their attempt to remove Snyder from ownership. In order to push Snyder out, it'd require 24 votes from 32 owners. But, Snyder's future wasn't a major conversation topic during this week's league meetings, according to Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan.
"I can't comment on any conversations like that, or what's being said about anything happening in Washington. But, the meeting we just had in Atlanta was very productive," Khan explained to The DA Show on Thursday. "There were some great conversations about how we can make the league better and our media agreements, and all the great ways we'll bring football to fans all over the world. But [Snyder] wasn't the big subject of the week...
Khan, who also serves as the president of AEW wrestling, told The DA Show that the company's "Double or Nothing" pay-per-view scheduled for Sunday night in Las Vegas will run up against a potential East Finals Game 7 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. But, there's no need for wrestling fans to worry about missing the top matches. Khan told CBS Sports Radio: "If there's a Game 7 on Sunday, I'm going to make sure that the main event and a lot of the great action doesn't hit the ring until after the game is over."
