Odell Beckham Jr.'s experience as a free agent wasn't exactly conventional, but it only took the polarizing receiver two days to find a new home and join another playoff contender.
The three-time Pro Bowler signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, according to a team release. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that Beckham will receive $750,000 in salary, $500,000 as a bonus, and up to $3 million in team-based incentives.
"This is going to help the Rams. Adding Odell is going to add to the team, it's not going to take away," JR said during the JR SportBrief show on Thursday. "This is going to be real fun, extremely competitive. It's nice to look at the playoff picture and say, 'Damn, who's coming out of the NFC?'... I would put the Rams right in the NFC title game... All that Beckham has to do is fit in.

"We're going to have a chance to see how much explosion he still has. We're going to have an opportunity to see him back in the playoffs. If he's healthy, this deal is going to work out... All he needs to do is pop up, show explosion, and have a good play. And although I believed he'd go to the Packers and they were the best fit, it's not too shabby staying in LA..."
Beckham officially cleared waivers on Tuesday, which made him a free agent for the first time in his career. Now, the 29-year-old will take the field with one of the league's most high-powered offenses, as Los Angeles currently ranks fourth in average yards and fifth in average points. His contract with the Rams marks the end of a dramatic week that began with Beckham's father criticizing Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield via social media last Tuesday.
Beckham's tumultuous tenure with the Browns lasted just 29 games, and he amassed 114 catches for 1,586 yards with eight touchdowns. Since entering the NFL as a first-round pick in 2014, Beckham ranks 17th in receptions (504), 10th in receiving yards (7,210), and seventh in receiving touchdowns (51). He's also passed the 1,000-yard receiving mark five times in his career.
Los Angeles (7-2), which is currently the fifth-seed in the NFC playoff picture, will visit the rival San Francisco 49ers (3-5) on Monday night. According to FiveThirtyEight's projections, the Rams have a 20-percent chance to win the NFC West and a 7-percent chance to win Super Bow 56 at SoFi Stadium.
