In 2020, the Rams offense finished the season ranked 22nd in the league in points per game (23.3), 23rd in total points (372), and 25th in percentage of drives ending with an offensive score (34.2). Suffice to say, the unit struggled under head coach Sean McVay's watch.

But the production from Los Angeles' star-studded offense should drastically improve in 2021, as the team now has a durable, big-play veteran quarterback at the helm.

"I feel pretty good [about Matthew Stafford]," Rams wide receiver Robert Woods told The DA Show on Thursday. "I like what he's done in Detroit, what he's capable of bringing to Los Angeles, just his grit and grind to our offense. Super excited about what he can do to our passing game, and I can't wait to get that 1,000 [receiving] yards again."

Woods, who led Los Angeles in touchdowns (6) and targets (129) last season, recalled the first time he met the 33-year-old Stafford, back in 2013.

"It was actually on one of my visits as a to-be rookie, going to Detroit," Woods said. "It was early offseason, and they were like, 'Look at our quarterback, he's in here working out.' And it was Matthew Stafford. So, that was my first time meeting him on the treadmill, in the early offseason around January, already beginning his offseason grind. And now that we're actually teammates, just bringing that same grind to LA, bringing him in with McVay and our offense, and just bringing him those playoff wins and getting to the Super Bowl."

Stafford, who was part of a blockbuster deal between the Rams and Lions in late January, spent 12 seasons with Detroit, and finished the 2020 campaign with 4,084 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 16 games. Since the trade didn't include an extension or a pay raise, Los Angeles will inherit the two years and $43 million remaining on Stafford's contract.

According to the William Hill Sports Book, the Rams currently own the fourth-best odds to win Super Bowl 56, and the third-best odds to win the NFC.
