The Dallas Cowboys' offense fired on all cylinders in their 41-21 drubbing of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, tallying 220 yards through the air and 160 yards on the ground. A well-balanced attack, a recipe for success.

Through three weeks of action, Dallas has performed like a playoff-caliber team, and implemented an effective blueprint. But former NFL lineman Ephraim Salaam believes fans should pump the brakes on championship conversations, as knee-jerk reactions are synonymous with the Cowboys.

"What America likes to do with America's Team is go a little above and beyond. Any success they have, it's Super Bowl time," Salaam told the Reiter Than You show on Tuesday. "The balance that they had last night is what they need to play with. It's easy to do that against a team that's struggling, a team that's trying to find themselves in the Philadelphia Eagles...

"For the Dallas Cowboys, having Dak [Prescott] come back from that horrific injury last year and play as well as he's playing is such a positive sign. Having Zeke carry the ball and run with purpose now is such a good sign for them... These are positives this year for the Dallas Cowboys."

Dak Prescott's first game at AT&T Stadium since suffering a devastating ankle injury last October was a resounding success. He delivered a true franchise quarterback performance, throwing for 238 yards with three touchdowns.

By completing 21 of 26 passes, Prescott became just the second Cowboys quarterback to complete at least 80-percent of his passes in back-to-back games. The 28-year-old currently owns a 77.5 completion percentage, which ranks second-highest through three games in the Super Bowl era.

Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott also bullied Philadelphia's defense. The sixth-year starter rushed for a season-high 95 yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns and three receptions, and his first quarter score moved him into third place for the most rushing touchdowns in franchise history (49).

Dallas (2-1) will host the Carolina Panthers (3-0) in a Week 4 matchup on Sunday, Oct. 3. According to FiveThirtyEight's projections, the Cowboys currently have a 71-percent chance to reach the playoffs and a 66-percent chance to win the NFC East.
