Are you in the mood for some Chicken Parm-eroni? How about a Real Cheezy Burger?

If you live in one of 23 states or Washington, D.C., your Flavortown dreams are about to come true, because celebrity chef Guy Fieri has opened over 100 ghost kitchens across the United States including one operating out of the Buca Di Beppo at the Pruneyard in Campbell, CA.

For the uninitiated, a ghost kitchen is a delivery-only restaurant that is operated out of the kitchen of an already-existing restaurant. In the case of Fieri’s new venture, many of the Flavortown Kitchen creations are being cooked up in Buca di Beppo, Bravo Italian Kitchen, or Bertucci’s locations.

Eater reports that Fieri owns a chain of restaurants, Chicken Guy, with the owner of Bertucci’s, Bravo Italian Kitchen, and Buca di Beppo, Robert Earl.

Ghost kitchens have become a crucial lifeline for restauranteurs during the COVID-19 pandemic, allowing them to expand their usual offerings via delivery apps.

Chuck E. Cheese, which caters to kids and families with arcade games and rides in its restaurants, briefly went viral during the pandemic after savvy online users discovered that it was running a ghost kitchen called Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings.

Since the onset of the pandemic in March, Fieri helped raise $21.5 million for 43,000 unemployed workers through his Restaurant Employee Relief Fund.

Fieri teamed up with companies like Uber Eats and Pepsi Co. to give $500 grants to tens of thousands of restaurant workers who were impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Newsweek, 3.4 million Americans who worked in leisure and hospitality lost their jobs in 2020.

“I’ve traveled coast to coast visiting thousands of restaurants across the country on ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,’ and after all the time on the road, it’s clear that restaurants are the heart and soul of their communities,” said Fieri. “When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the impact on the restaurant industry was immediate.”
