Jennifer Aniston broke out a sparkly party look for a recent post celebrating her own birthday.
There she is in the clip standing hands-on-hips proud, and shining mightily in hiphugger flare pants made of gold tassels and a tight black top with furry gold cuffs.
The angle of the clip – looking up at Aniston from the ground – and the gold explosion of the outfit look like something out of a ‘70s disco movie. And Aniston’s little dancey leg kick showed she might’ve been hip to that particular reference jive, as her pants shook like one of Tina Turner’s classic gold streamer dresses that she rocked in the ‘70s.
As Yahoo Entertainment reported, Aniston made the post to thank all those who wished her a happy 53rd birthday the day before. Technically the 50th birthday is traditionally your “Golden Jubilee,” but who’s counting, especially when you’re a Hollywood star?
"Thank you all so much,” she captioned the picture. "I'm filled with so much gratitude for all the love that poured over me on my birthday…! Blessed girl over here.”
Some of her more famed friends dropped comments underneath.
"Happy happy birthday!! Sending all the love!” said Lily Collins. Julianne Moore added, "Happy birthday.”
Of course, the pants were a focus of attention.
Juliette Lewis went all-caps crazy over the outfit. "Oh YEEEESSSSSS,” Juliette Lewis typed out. “Those are exactly the Right birthday pants!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU”
Comedian Whitney Cummings however offered a more suspicious stance: "Okay this is the first time I've ever questioned your judgement."
We’re guessing this one fashion choice won’t dent Cummings’ view on her friend, as this is the woman who got a Jennifer Aniston tribute tattoo last year.
Despite the ongoing COVID struggles that Aniston had to address even in the fictional world of her streaming hit, The Morning Show,” the “Friends” star has become increasingly appreciative over the last year.
As she told People last year, meditation has helped her tap into a more reflective and appreciative side.
"For me, I meditate every day,” she shared, “and sitting quietly, writing… And any kind of yoga practice is my meditation. I just have faith in a bigger picture, I guess. And I believe in humanity, even though there's so much to discourage us from believing in it — but I do."
