“Jeopardy!” Is recognizing another icon in the TV game show pantheon.
The quiz program recently took to its social media to honor “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak, who announced he’d be leaving the program after 40 years.
"40 seasons is quite a run, Pat Sajak! We’ll be cheering you on from next door in your 41st and final season as host of @wheeloffortune," the program’s official Instagram account posted.
The post featured photos of Sajak with “Jeopardy!” hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings.
Producer of “Jeopardy!”, Michael Davies, jumped into the post’s comment section to shower Sajak with praise for his hosting prowess.
"There has never been a game show host like Pat Sajak and I doubt there ever will be again," he wrote. "So comfortable on camera, that laid back style, never forces it, you never feel him following a format or driving the game.”
Sajak’s daughter, Maggie, who is a social correspondent for “Wheel” and has filled in for Vanna White, added three blue heart emojis in support of her father.
“Wheel of Fortune”’s upcoming 41st season will be Sajak’s final. A replacement has not been announced.
