This November, many people in Pierce and King counties will need help with food. Below you will find a list of resources showing where you can either get assistance or take action.

Washington Food Coalition: The Washington Food Coalition provides training and technical assistance for over 360 food pantries and food banks across the state. What we mean by that is we assist food banks in doing their jobs better, enhancing their efforts and making a bigger impact in their communities.

We offer monthly training sessions on a variety of subjects and distribute newsletters weekly, monthly, and quarterly to share resources, information and updates on food policy legislation at both the state and federal levels. Our online trainings cover topics on running food banks, food safety, volunteer management, and nonprofit fundamentals. Additionally, we provide resource manuals covering these topics and more.
We also offer training and resource guides related to workplace safety for staff and volunteers, as well as a wealth of nutrition education materials, including recipes. Furthermore, we develop nutrition policies specifically for food banks.
