I want to be very clear here - I am NOT dragging this place! But when I saw pictures of this outdoor hot tub that the public can soak in, I immediately thought it looked like a spa you'd find in a Shrek movie.

Located in Arcata, just a few hours away from Sacramento, is Finnish Country Sauna and Tubs and Cafe Mokka. They provide a private sauna and hot tub experience, which means clothing is optional here.

The atmosphere is very serene and is a great way to connect with nature. But it also has a Shrek movie vibe with pond foliage and gnome decor everywhere.

According to their website, the sauna cabins have grass roofs (you read that correctly) and western red cedar interiors with benches at five levels. Plus, there's a natural light source. The outdoor hot tubs are made of Jarrah wood and are surrounded by trees and ferns.

At Cafe Mokka, you can enjoy all the coffee house favorites, including folk music and newspapers.

Before making a trip there, make sure you have plenty of cash on you, as their website states they accept cash or local checks only. Also, even though it is "clothing optional," children are more than welcome there, as the saunas and hot tubs are all private (so they won't see the other guests and vice versa).

Check out their website here and also get a feel for the vibe with pics on Instagram.
