My boyfriend took me to the cutest restaurant on the water last week and I have to share it with you.
He's been wanting to take me to Nick's Cove in Tomales Bay for the longest time. It's this little bar and restaurant that looks like it used to be a gas station, and it's only a couple hours away from Sacramento. Now, it's the perfect place to get cozy...especially on rainy winter days.
What I love most about Nick's Cove is the adorable boat house-turned-cabin on the water that you can dine in. It's unlocked during business hours and anyone is free to enjoy their food and beverages there.

I had their crab mac & cheese and also tried their clam chowder. Both were incredible.
Nick's Cove also has cabins on the water that you can rent. I haven't done that (yet) but they look super cozy. It's also right next to a boat launch with a public restroom.
If cozy's your vibe, and you want a break away from Sac without having to go to the city or put chains on your tires, this is a great option.
Check out Nick's Cove's website for more info here.
