Ah, the carefree mind of a child.
While most of us have developed a deep fear of the image of Michael Myers - the infamous villain of the “Halloween” film franchise - 4-year-old Aria Alvarado, from West Covina, CA, must’ve seen a different movie because she loves him.

And a video of her exclaiming as much has gone viral, with Today reporting that it has over 3 million views already.
In the clip, friends and family hang around at Aria’s outdoor balloon-festooned birthday party as the eerie theme music from the “Halloween” movies rises up and the little girl yells, “I love it!”
As onlookers crack up, far off you see Michael Myers (well, you know, not actually... we hope!) slowly ambling towards the party. Aria's mother starts yelling, “look, look!” The girl finally sees him and yells even louder, “Michael, I love you!” and proceeds to run over to the man in the serial killer costume.
Still unable to shake the creeps? Well, of course then “Michael Myers” bends down and picks the little birthday girl up and gives her a hug.
Now whether we should hug parents who have raised a 4-year-old who is intimately aware of the “Halloween" movies is not for us to judge. But as one Twitter commenter noted, “I love ‘spooky’ children. So wholesome in a weirdly good way."
While the party decorations had a Halloween theme, the parents planned it that way because their little lady is a huge horror fan.
“She’s been loving Halloween ever since she first watched ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas,’” mom Rose Alvarado explained. “She loves many spooky movies including ‘Frankenweenie,’ ‘Coraline,’ ‘Corpse Bride,’ and especially ‘Halloween’ with Michael Myers.”
But even they were surprised by the adorably shocking scene.
“We knew she liked him, but we did not expect her to react like that," mom admitted. "Her reaction was so funny, so I thought I’d post the little video online.”
“I told her she was trending," her mom added. "She knows what trending means because of ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.' She thinks it’s really cool.”
And the parents have a plan. “We believe it’s important to let her be her,” she continued. “It’s totally innocent and she’s having fun and she still gets scared watching scary movies… If she stops getting scared, then we may want to revisit this.”
And don’t worry -- that was Aria’s dad in the Michael Myers get-up. You can never be too sure.
