The Buffalo Sabres currently sit dead last in the NHL standings in points, and are in the midst of a five-game losing streak.
With that, general manager Kevyn Adams spent about 30 minutes on Friday speaking with the Buffalo media via a Zoom conference call.
If you missed Adams’ Zoom call, here's some of what he had to say:
Adams on if he has the authority to fire Ralph Krueger:
Yes. He understands the situation we're in and it's unacceptable.
Adams on what has gone wrong with the team:
It hasn't been good enough. The passion hasn't been good enough. The compete hasn't been good enough. ... Our 5-on-5 scoring hasn't been good enough. Period.
Adams on Jack Eichel:
He has not asked for a trade. ... Are people going to make a phone call and ask? Of course, but that's the extent of it.
