Jason Derulo teams up with Marvel for comic book series
Jason Derulo recently partnered with Marvel for a series of comic books about Uzo, a superhero character that he created and has featured on TikTok and YouTube. The comic should debut later in 2021 or in early 2022 along with a line of action figures. It doesn't stop there though. Jason Derulo is also working on a film about Uzo, whose superpowers appear to be stopping muggers and robbers while making jokes and showing off his dance moves.
Nickelodeon orders Spongebob prequel series about Patrick
Nickelodeon has ordered 13 episodes of The Patrick Star Show. This is the second spinoff of SpongeBob SquarePants to get the green light. The first is the Paramount+ series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, which premiered yesterday. This second series is a sitcom starring a younger Patrick who is living at home with his family, where he hosts his own show for the neighborhood from his television-turned-bedroom. The series will debut this summer on Nickelodeon.
Bachelor host Chris Harrison plans on returning to the show
Bachelor host Chris Harrison was on Good Morning America this week and revealed that his leave from the show doesn’t necessarily mean he's done being on the show for good. He said, “I plan to be back. I want to be back... This interview is not the finish line. There is much more work to be done.” If you missed the story, last month, Chris Harrison stepped away from his duties on the dating competition show following a controversial interview with Rachel Lindsay in which he admittedly spoke “in a manner that perpetuates racism.” Harrison said on GMA, “I am an imperfect man I made a mistake and I own that... I believe that mistake doesn’t reflect who I am or what I stand for. I am committed to the progress not just for myself also for the franchise.” ABC hasn’t revealed whether Chris Harrison’s leave from the show is permanent.
