Katie Couric will be the next guest host for Jeopardy!
Jeopardy! has lined up Katie Couric as it's next guest host for a week’s worth of episodes. This makes her the second interim emcee after Ken Jennings. Jeopardy! is currently airing it's final episodes with Alex Trebek, which will come to a close tomorrow. The episodes were taped last October, before Alex Trebek lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Jeopardy’s most well-known star contestant, Ken Jennings, will serve as the first guest host after Trebek’s final episode airs. Sony Pictures Television has not announced plans to name a permanent replacement for Alex Trebek.
Jimmy Fallon leaves a $400 tip for his server
Over the weekend, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon got his sushi on at a restaurant in Water Mill, New York, with his wife Nancy, Well, he left a generous $400 tip for the waiter! Jimmy Fallon even posed for some photos with fans who dined next to him. The fan shared the photo on her Instagram and wrote, "Drove to the Hamptons to try this Omakase. So worth it because besides the amazing sushi and service, we got to dine next to Jimmy Fallon!" Jimmy Fallon has been vocal about his support for restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic.
David Hasselhoff is auctioning off his Knight Rider car
David Hasselhoff is auctioning off the AI-enhanced Knight Industries Two Thousand car from his 1980s TV show Knight Rider! The 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is described as a “fully functional K.I.T.T. car with full conversion car located in U.K.,” according to the automobile’s listing on LiveAuctioneers.com. Unfortunately, the car can't talk, drive itself, or jump... but there is a dashboard that lights up just like in Knight Rider. David Hasselhoff will personally deliver the car to the new owner if they pay 25% above the asking price though! The current bid sits at $375,000 with a maximum of $975,000.
