A former Florida schoolteacher was arrested with multiple charges, including twerking with an underage student, WBBH reports.
Authorities say Julie Hoover, 39, was a part of the Point of Grace Christian School Prom in April. At some point during the dance, Hoover allegedly started pressuring a student to drink alcohol by forcing a straw into his mouth. Another school staff member told police that faculty had alcohol in the back room for after the event when students left
The student told police that while on the dance floor, Hoover started to “twerk on him”, and it made him feel uncomfortable.
This isn’t the first time Hoover has been arrested for misconduct.
Taylor County Sheriff’s office said that she had also been arrested for sexting an 18-year-old senior. The male student’s mother found the texts, and even found communication involving a plan for Hoover to sneak in while the parents were at work.
