I doubt this is true, but according to Mens Health Australia, the latest cultural trend is causing more men to sit down and go number one.

How do they know this???? They most likely don't, and one of their writers needed to get more clicks.

But, there is some research...

The most recent data on this subject is from 2007, and it shows that 42% of married men sit down to knock the dew off the lily.

"The idea of sitting down to pee is interesting," Dr. Jesse N. Mills, Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA Dept. of Urology said in a interview with Thrillist.

"Nothing beats whipping it out and letting it rip. But if you want to sit down and think about life, it's a break in your day." Dr. Mills added.

So far we have learned that sitting down as a male to drain the main vein is okay...but is it healthy? According to research from Leiden University Medical Centre Netherlands it actually is.

The University states that it is healthy because it gives the male a more urodynamic profile which could help thwart prostate problems.

Also, standing while blasting the beast activates muscles around the pelvis, spine, and lower abdomen that could stop you from emptying your tank properly.

“Sitting down is a better option for men with prostate conditions or men who just can't stand up for a long time. A lot of guys sit to pee if they can't fully evacuate their bladder. When you sit down, you can use your abdominal muscles more, and you get your last few squirts out and feel like you've emptied better.” said Dr. Mills.
