The pandemic has caused a lot of new things to take place in this world.
Working from home, masks, shortages, and a boom in cybersex.
Angelina Aleksandrovich works for a group called Rasberry Dream Labs, and they're in the business of creating multi-sensory cybersex experiences. These experiences allow people to have “intimacy” when they aren't in the same space.
“Because of COVID a lot of people understood how we can use technology and virtual reality in exciting and expanded ways,” Aleksandrovich said to Reuters.
VR seems to now be making the transition from something that's just for gamers, to something that can be used for online sex.
The new VR cybersex hardware also uses augmented reality, and smells that come out of a collar that the user puts around their neck. Each user has haptic stimulators placed over different parts of their body.
A person who was part of testing the prototype was asked what she thought of her VR cybersex experience, “I love it - it is definitely an experience.”
Another said, “There is so much going on and it takes a while to take it all in. When it finished I kind of wasn’t ready.”
Nothing sounds sexier than strapping haptic stimulators to your body.
