A guy form Australia was able to get out of his house after it caught fire because his parrot alerted him.
Anton Nguyen was in a deep sleep when his home caught fire in Queensland Australia.
"I heard a bang and Eric, my parrot, he started to yell so I woke up and I smelled a bit of smoke," Nguyen told ABC.
"I grabbed Eric, opened the door and looked to the back of the house and saw some flames... and so I took off and bolted downstairs." he added.
The firefighters arrived shortly after he and his parrot escaped, but sadly the house was engulfed in flames.
Nguyen was able to put his pet parrot in a bag and run out of the house. Neither the man or parrot were injured.
