Speaking of worse...
Thailand has banned all access to Pornhub and almost 200 other adult websites that show pornography. The censorship has caused anger throughout social media and even protests in the streets.
Thailand's digital minister Puttipong Punnakanta stated that they blocked the sites because they were already illegal under the country's cybercrime law.
The #SAVEPORNHUB hashtag has blown up on social media. Pornhub was one of the top 20 websites in Thailand in 2019.
"We want to reclaim Pornhub. People are entitled to choices." a statement from an activist group called Anonymous Party stated.
Emily Pradichit who is the director of the Manushya Foundations said that Thailand was, "a land of digital dictatorship, with conservatives in power trying to control what young people can watch, can say and can do online."
