The usual New Year’s resolutions consist of exercising more and spending less time on social media. However, Kate Hudson wants to reconnect with her family in 2021.
Hudson spoke with her brother Oliver Hudson in the latest episode of their Sibling Revelry podcast. The 41-year-old said that while she didn’t make any resolutions, she thought about their other siblings and estranged father, Bill Hudson, People reported.
“You know what I’ve been thinking about lately? Dad,” Kate said. “I’ve been thinking about our sisters that we don’t spend any time with and our brother — brothers. We’ve got four siblings we don’t spend any time with.”
Goldie Hawn, both Kate and Oliver’s mother, was married to Bill from 1976 to 1982. After divorcing Hawn, he had two children, daughter Emily and son Zachary with then-wife and “Laverne and Shirley” star Cindy Williams. In 2006, Bill’s daughter Lalania was born.
“I was thinking about how everybody’s getting older,” Kate said. “It would be nice to connect a little bit, especially with my sisters.”
Hudson explained how she and her brother talked so much about siblings and distraught relationships. She described how she thinks about having the best family, but how she rarely acknowledges that she has four other siblings.
"So I’ve been thinking about the Hudsons,” Kate said. “Thinking it’s important that we reach out with all of our siblings and maybe connect with them a little bit.”
This isn't the first time Kate has taken to podcasts to reveal details about her personal life.

In October, Hudson shared who her worst on-screen kiss was, but luckily, it had nothing to do with the actor’s actual lip-locking techniques. The actress told Gwyneth Paltrow on “The Goop Podcast” that McConaughey had been her worst.
Hudson explained, “The thing is, every time I kiss McConaughey, it’s like, I mean, it’s like there’s just something happening and there’s like snot or wind, or things are just… like when we were kissing in the end of 'Fool’s Gold,' we’re like in the ocean, we like had the plane crash. He just had snot all over his face.”
