A love of Whataburger is ingrained in many Texans, but it appears another popular fast food chain is trying to pry some love away from the Lone Star state staple. Chick-fil-A recently announced they will offer a free Spicy Chicken Biscuit to those in DFW this week. A representative for the fast food chain claimed the free menu item is their way of thinking the metroplex for years of support.
They say a good breakfast is the best way to start the day, and Chick-fil-A is hoping this week North Texans choose to start their morning with them. The fast food chain will offer free Spicy Chicken Biscuits at participating locations through May 7. In order to receive the free menu item, customers must sign up or log in to the Chick-fil-A app or online, and the free item should appear in their "rewards section," according to WFAA.
"Chick-fil-A is excited to turn up the heat this spring and offer the DFW community a free Spicy Chicken Biscuit. We hope our guests stop by and enjoy the biscuit as a tasty way to kick off their morning," said Michael Walkup, local restaurant Operator of Chick-fil-A White Rock. While this won't dethrone Whataburger as the top choice in Texas, it will help Chick-fil-A secure that number two spot.
