Despite what happens in the movies, most cops avoid ridiculous disguises when going undercover. However, clearly there are plenty still willing to do whatever it takes to make the arrest. Video of cops in Peru dressed as Santa and an elf while making an arrest went viral recently, and many are asking for this to be made into a movie immediately.
Police in Peru arrested a man recently after he was videotaped selling drugs outside his home near a school. However, what many would assume was a standard drug bust, ended up being a viral moment perfect for the holiday season, as the cops used a disguise of Santa and an elf in order to get their suspect. “We are the police! We are the green squad! This is an anti-drug operation!” one officer is heard yelling in the video.
Despite the ridiculous disguises, the raid was a success, as a number of illegal substances were recovered. Apparently using disguises is common practice for the police force in Peru. Maybe in April they can dress as the Easter Bunny for their next viral bust.
