Guns N’ Roses have never been known to follow the rules, so when BottleRock Napa Valley named them their festival headliner for 2021; they had to expect a few rules to be broken. The music festival, which notoriously has a strict curfew, shut the music off during GNR’s set when the clock struck 10 P.M. However, the band kept playing with a little help from their fans.
BottleRock Napa Valley took place over Labor Day weekend, and even though the show was expected to end right at 10 P.M., fans got a little extra this year. As seen in a clip that has since gone viral, Guns N’ Roses continued playing, even after the sound was shut off by the festival. The band was in the middle of their encore performance, performing ‘Paradise City’ with Dave Grohl when the sound shut off.
Luckily, fans knowing every word to the beloved song helped the show go on, as fans sang along while the band continued using their stage amps, according to Huffington Post. This is not the first time BottleRock’s strict curfew has shut the music off during the headliner’s set. Maybe after the latest occurrence, they will think about pushing the curfew back a few minutes.
