FC Dallas has big plans for their home at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
The club has just revealed plans to construct a billion-dollar entertainment district around the stadium that will include restaurants, a hotel, and a mini soccer pitch.
FC Dallas president Dan Hunt said in a statement, “We hope our fans now, instead of spending two hours here or spending five or six hours, maybe a whole day here, enjoying the districts around the stadium and also then coming to the match that night.”
According to NBC DFW, the additions will be built on the east side of the stadium and soccer center. Along with the planned restaurants and mini soccer pitch, the hotel will be nine stories with nearly 300 rooms and 40,000 square feet of convention space, and about one million square feet of "premium office space."
Developers expect to break ground on the entertainment district sometime next year.
