Just ten days after its grand opening, a fire at the new Blue Goose Cantina in North Richland Hills has forced the restaurant to close for repairs.

According to WFAA, the fire was quickly contained and no injuries were reported.

Nick Peterson, CEO of Peterson Management Group, the parent company of Blue Goose Cantina, said in a statement, “We are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe and thankful for the quick response of the North Richland Hills Fire Department.”

The restaurant will be closed for several weeks as it undergoes renovations and repairs.

Peterson said, “This is a disappointing setback, especially after our team worked so hard to open this location and begin building meaningful connections within the community.

“We appreciate the patience and support we’ve already received and look forward to welcoming guests back as soon as it is safe to do so.”

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
