Usually when fishermen talk about their greatest catch, it’s the size of the fish they choose to brag about. However, for a group of fishermen in Yemen, their haul was more about what was found inside the fish. The 35 fishermen struck gold recently after finding a $1.5 million worth of whale vomit in the ocean.

Whale vomit, also known as ambergris, is an odorous organic material that’s used in the fragrance industry for scent stabilization. Luckily for the fishermen, the whale vomit they found came in the form of a 280-pound mass of ambergris inside the carcass of a sperm whale. According to Fox News, the fishermen sold the mass to a trader in the United Arab Emirates.

Thanks to the sum they received, the group of fishermen has been able to buy cars, homes and boats while also making charitable donations to their village. Sadly whale vomit is illegal in the United States since it comes from an endangered species. Americans will just have to wait for it to come in the form of fragrance instead.
