Fort Worth parents Heather and Richard Harris have filed a lawsuit against their child’s school over accusations his teacher encouraged the kids to fight one another.
Security camera footage obtained by the Dallas Morning News showed one teacher holding onto a student, encouraging another to punch him, with another teacher standing off to the side observing the incident without intervening.
The Harrises have filed a lawsuit against Arka Risinger Educators LLC, which operates the Arka Montessori Academy of Risinger, located on West Risinger Road.
The lawsuit accuses the school negligence, gross negligence, and failing to properly hire, train and supervise its employees. The couple is seeking more than $1 million in damages, and for a jury to determine the final amount.
