The last few years have been difficult for the restaurant industry, as many local favorites were forced to shut their doors for good. Luckily, things are starting to turn around, as now a Texas-based chain that many thought they would never see again has unveiled their plans for a major comeback. Fuddruckers recently announced plans to expand their footprint, moving outside of Texas, along with opening a number of new North Texas locations.
Back in 2020, a number of Fuddruckers throughout the metroplex shut down as their parent company went through the liquidation process. However, new owners have brought new life to the chain and now they have unveiled their plan for a comeback. The chain will begin opening new locations in shopping malls around the country, along with opening ghost kitchens as well. The new DFW locations will be inside Town East Mall in Mesquite, The Parks Mall in Arlington and Hulen Mall in Fort Worth, according to Dallas Culture Map.
Currently, Fuddruckers has more than 92 locations nationwide, with 31 operating in Texas. They plan to grow that number by mid-2022, as their comeback plan begins to unfold. Soon, Fuddruckers will be back to being a favorite of many throughout North Texas.
