The city of Mansfield has recently unveiled their plans for a new $2.5 billion development project for entertainment, sports, and family recreation.
Per WFAA, the Staybolt Street Entertainment District will feature a professional multi-sport stadium, hotels, a conference center, a family-friendly amusement complex, retail, dining and housing.
The complex will be anchored by a 7,500-seat stadium that will serve as the new home of the North Texas Soccer Club, the reigning 2024 MLS NEXT Pro champions. Staybolt will also include High 5 Mansfield, a 45,000-square-foot entertainment venue that will feature bowling, arcade games, mini golf, and a rooftop concert space.
Two hotels are also planned for the district, and the project also includes a "complete overhaul" of Mansfield's existing youth sports complex.
Construction on the various elements of the Staybolt Street Entertainment District is set to roll out in phases through 2027.
