With more and more people moving to Texas, new neighborhoods have been popping up throughout the state. DFW is no different, as the metroplex has seen a number of new housing developments emerge in recent years.
Now, yet another has been approved for West Dallas, and this one will feature something that has become a huge part of these new Texas developments; a lagoon.
The Dallas City Council recently approved the $1 billion mixed-use project that will be located about a mile west of Trinity Groves off Singleton Boulevard. The development will include thousands of homes, along with retail and entertainment space, but the main feature will be the lagoon water feature. According to D Magazine, the lagoon area will have three acres of white sand beaches will surround the roughly two acres of blue water, where residents can e joy activities such as kayaking and water yoga.
The developers hope to begin construction later this year. No final date estimate has been given at this time. With this new development, the lagoon takeover of Texas continues.
