His first year selling Christmas trees did not go exactly quite like Tim Miller had planned.

In the weeks leading up to the big day, sales had slowed at Hidden Honey Farm in Midlothian, where Miller still had half of his inventory left.

Miller told NBC DFW, “Four days straight with no one.”

To make the most of a bad situation, Miller announced on Facebook that his trees were free for the taking, for “anyone doesn't have a tree, or knows of someone who needs a tree.”

Soon, the crowds poured into Hidden Honey Farm, as well as donations.  Not just from Texans, but from all over the country.

“All over.” Miller said.  “Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, California, somehow or another, people have seen our post and said, you know, we'd like to help.

“I had no idea we would get the results that we have.”

In just two days, all of Miller’s 120 trees found their “fir-ever” home.

He’s still deciding whether or not to sell trees again next year, but after the feedback and support he’s received, Miller says he’s leaning toward it.
