Now that Halloween has come and gone, all of our attention has focused on the Holiday Season, which of course is spearheaded…by Black Friday.
Just think of all those deals!
Scoring a deal may not be worth the headache though of actually going out shopping on Black Friday, especially following the results of a new study from iGaming experts Casinority, who listed two malls in North Texas as among the worst for Black Friday shopping.
Per CW33, 20 malls across the country were ranked based on a number of factors, including “crowding (footfall density, i.e. daily footfall divided by mall size), retail variety (stores listed in online directory, and department stores), and opening hours (center hours during Black Friday in 2024).
NorthPark Center actually ranked as the worst mall in the nation for Black Friday, and the Galleria came in at No. 5.
Oakbrook Center in Oakbrook, IL; Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara, CA; and American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ rounded out the five worst malls.
The five best malls for Black Friday included Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, FL; South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA; King of Prussia in Prussia, PA and Millcreek Mall in Erie, PA (tied for third); the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN; and Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY.
