With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, many are starting to plan their food menus for the big game. While most stick with the classics, such as chicken wings, pizza and chips, others like to spice things up to keep their guests happy, even when the game can’t. Now, a new study has unveiled the top Super Bowl food choices for every state, and some of the winners may come as a surprise.
When asked what the most popular Super Bowl food choice may be, most would assume chicken wings were at top of the list. However, a new study by Bid-On-Equipment shows many are starting to move away from wings on Super Bowl Sunday. The study found each state’s top food choice for the Super Bowl, and according to CW33, the top choice for Texas was chips and salsa.

Overall, the top choice for the entire country was meatballs, which stunned many. Following meatballs on the list was guacamole, chips & salsa, tater tots and chili. Buffalo wings somehow dropped all the way to number six on the list. After seeing this, some may want to stock up on meatballs before it’s too late.
