It seems every time a list names the most popular cities for people to move to, multiple Texas cities make it onto the list. Cities like Dallas and Austin often make the list for multiple reasons. However, when it comes to most popular cities for young people to move to, cities like Frisco are often overlooked. That’s why many were surprised when Frisco was named the sixth most popular city in the country for millennials to move to.
According to the recent survey done by SmartAsset, there were 4,006 millennials that moved to Frisco, while only 490 moved out of the city. All the data used for the survey came from 2019. “This generational group makes up 19.16% of Frisco’s population, which adds up to 38,419 out of 200,513,” said the survey.
Other Texas cities making the list include Austin at number four and Dallas at number eleven, according to Dallas Observer. While Frisco becoming a hot spot for millennials may come as a surprise to some, there are many aspects of the city that attract young professionals such as, “quality of life, our dynamic neighborhoods and great quality schools,” said the city’s mayor, Jeff Cheney. Add that to the list of many reasons Texas is the best state in the country.
