Hurricane Idalia came barging into the Florida coast at 5 a.m. Tuesday, August 29th and has been growing in severity as it continues its invasion of the state. Texas A&M’s “Task Force One” has been seen riding into the storm to help. They have not one, not two, but four rescue boats accompanied by 46 brave men and women to fight Idalia; Now grown to a category 3 hurricane, with winds racing over 125 mph.

A&M’s disaster response team won't be alone in the not-so-Sunshine State; The US National Coast and National Guard have also deployed ~5000 troops to assist in whatever is needed during this disaster.

Rand Jenkins with Texas Baptist Men talked to CBS News Texas saying all crews are on standby including but not limited to Flood Recovery Teams, Shower trucks, Laundry trucks, and mass feeding units.
