Unclaimed Texas Lottery ticket worth $78 million set to expire

Check any loose lottery tickets you may hay lying around, they might be worth a large sum of cash.

A Texas Lottery ticket sold at a bait and tackle shop in Brownsville has gone unclaimed, and it’s worth a staggering $78 million.

The ticket was sold at a at Gordon's Bait & Tackle shop, and its winning numbers were drawn this past Saturday, November 15.

As of today, the prize has yet to be claimed, and the winner has 180 days to do so lest the ticket expires, as all the winnings with it.

According to MySA.com, the winner selected the cash value option for payment, which would amount to an estimated  $43.6 million before taxes.

The winner has until May 14, 2026 to claim the prize before it is withdrawn.
