For years, sports fans have wondered when the United States would embrace soccer the way the rest of the world has. While it hasn’t reached that level yet, the popularity of the sport has grown in recent years, and now a new soccer-based entertainment concept in coming to America that could take it over the top. TOCA Social combines eating, drinking and playing soccer and is expected to open in DFW by 2023.

Founded by former US Men’s National Soccer Team player Eddie Lewis, TOCA Social first opened in 2021 at London's iconic The O2. Now, the popular technology-enabled soccer experience is making its way to the United States. According to Dallas Culture Map, TOCA Social is described as a unique place to eat, drink, and play, with soccer-themed entertainment and immersive games designed for all skill levels.

“TOCA experiences are all about enjoying soccer regardless of your skill level and TOCA Social takes that a step further by offering a fun, social environment in addition to gamifying soccer in a new and casual way,” said TOCA co-chairman Erik Anderson. The 56,000 square foot DFW location will feature three stories, four bars for food and drink, and 34 TOCA boxes to play soccer. Maybe this will finally be the thing that makes Americans love soccer.
