Matt Bigler started at KCBS in 2004 as a reporter and anchor. Before joining the best radio news team in the country, Bigler worked at KMPH/KTRB in Fresno, KFBK Sacramento and KIRO in Seattle.
Bigler is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University where he studied English, theater and theology. It was at college that Bigler started his voice work, doing public address announcing for basketball, volleyball and soccer. He also performed in numerous plays and one-act productions. Bigler is also bilingual having studied Spanish in Mexico and Spain.
A native Californian, Bigler now lives with this family in the East Bay, where he is the Cubmaster for a local Cub Scout Troop. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mennonite Voluntary Service House in San Francisco.
Bigler has been recognized for his radio reporting over the years with prestigious honors including National Headliner awards, regional Edward R. Murrow awards and APTRA awards for feature reporting.
When he’s not behind the mic, Bigler enjoys getting outside hiking or camping, wine and beer tasting or being a shut-in with a good book or a good video game.
