An excessive heat watch has been issued for large parts of the inland Bay Area for much of the weekend.
Temperatures will range from 95 to 105 degrees in Concord, Livermore and other parts of Alameda, Contra Costa and Santa Clara counties, according to the National Weather Service.
From 11 a.m. Saturday until 11 p.m. on Sunday, experts warn that there is an increased risk of heat exhaustion and stroke.

Parents and guardians should not leave children or pets in cars while dog owners should be aware that hot sidewalks could hurt the paws of their animals.
