Police are searching for the shooter who killed a woman in the parking lot at the West Oakland BART station on Thursday night.
The unidentified woman was shot around 10:30 p.m. near the 7th Street side of the lot.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect who is still at large. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, according to a statement from BART police.
The station was closed for about half an hour while emergency crews treated the woman. She was pronounced dead after being taken to Highland Hospital.
There was normal train service at the West Oakland station on Friday, officials said.
