Executive Chef Bronson Macomber brings his extensive culinary experience and passion for fine cuisine to Mastro’s Steakhouse San Francisco. Chef Macomber’s culinary creativity influences the restaurant’s menu and offers guests a first-class dining experience.
While at Gary Danko, Chef Macomber adopted Chef Danko's execution of fine cuisine and service. Chef Bronson believes fine foods are cooked with thought process, time management, dedication, a keen eye and a sense of surroundings in the kitchen. Food is a personal and trusting experience for Chef Macomber.
Chef Macomber currently resides in San Francisco. When he’s not in the kitchen he enjoys cooking for his friends and family at home. We met a Mastro’s recently for our Foodie Chap chat. Chef shared his culinary story and a home cook-friendly version of the famous Mastro’s Chocolate Buttercake.
Do yourself a favour and drop in for dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse, the new kid on the block on Geary Street, Union Square in San Francisco. The bar is open from 4pm daily and while there is no happy hour servers tell me “it’s happy hour every hour at Mastro’s”. A few faves from the menu: Seafood Tower that shows up in an impressive cold cloud of dry ice is sensational. The sushi is spot on and the steaks second to none. Make room for dessert too and the decedant Chocolate Buttercake in particular. The cocktails are knockout especially the Mastro’s House Cosmo. Good food, good vibes, world class wines and crafted cocktails with music most nights makes Mastro’s a place you want to venture to but make a reservation soon before word is fully out. And one more bonus, enjoy al fresco dining on the third floor with the retractable roof that will be perfect on Summer eves.
Enjoy the tasty talk with Chef Macomber.
