DALY CITY — It was an ordinary Monday morning, until a woman, who did not want her name used, heard a commotion coming from next door while she was getting ready for work.
She went outside.
“I saw my neighbor standing in the middle of his backyard. There were two dogs back there, and I know they own one, and it’s a small dog, but the other one was larger, and was literally propped up on him,” she said.
The woman called 911 when she saw blood running down medical assistant Gil Galang’s arms.
While she still was on the phone with the emergency dispatcher, she heard gunshots. Police shot and killed the Rottweiler that had attacked Galang on Schwerin Street.
“It was tough to see,” she said.
Galang, who is in his 30s, is reported to be in critical but stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital.
Police reportedly have identified and interviewed the owner of the Rottweiler whose attacked Galang.
