Simpson, Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, Kanye West and Nipsey Hussle by using Artificial Intelligence technology.
Lee McKnight, Associate Professor at Syracuse University School of Information Studies told KCBS Radio that the computer-generated systems can expand further than Hollywood.
"The computer-generated systems and the capabilities of Hollywood essentially now with the advance of computer technology it's possible to do them also for yeah know get them in the hands of artists like Kendrick Lamar which is cool," he said.
McKnight said the music and visuals in Lamar's video are incredible and even though deep-fakes are usually harmful and scary the music video is a work of art.
"The smooth images line up with the music and the rap and sort of the rap refers back to yeah know things that relate to each of the pseudo colleagues that take over his face during the video," he said.
He said that the current danger with deep fakes is not videos but audio.
"Essentially AI machine learning algorithm learning from like top CEO's voice that they listen to and get sort of trained on like from their public speaking events, and then that knowledge of the voice being used to essentially target a financial controller of a big company," McKnight explained.
He added that people need to stop and think before they act because with AI technology audio and videos can seem real in the moment.
